When you need a document or have to work out which procedure applies to you, finding a clear answer can take longer than expected. Percorso Cittadino helps you find your starting point, understand what to prepare and reach the right official service.
We are an independent information project about Italian administration and public services. Our guides are for people living in Italy, Italians abroad and anyone moving to Italy to study, work or settle here.
What you will find
Guides in Italian and English, explanations of unfamiliar terms, checklists and practical tools. Our aim is to help you prepare your next step: which documents to look for, what to check and which office to contact when your circumstances need individual assessment.
How we work
We start with official sources and organise the information into clear steps. We distinguish general rules from requirements set by a municipality, university or other organisation. Review dates refer to actual checks, whose scope and limitations are described in the guides and source registers. Before applying, you should still read the relevant official instructions or call for applications.
Each guide should give you something useful to take away: a checklist, an explanation that helps prevent a mistake or a specific question to ask the responsible office.
Who is responsible for our guides
Luca Del Popolo is the founder and editor of Percorso Cittadino. Daniela and Grazia contribute to preparing and reviewing the guides, with distinct responsibilities:

Each guide credits the people who contributed and explains their contribution. Where no personal contribution is documented, the guide is credited to the project. A clarity review focuses on how easy the text is to understand; any professional review is credited separately, with its scope, only when it has taken place.
We may use digital tools, including artificial intelligence, to help prepare and organise content. These tools do not replace source checking or the human editorial review required before publication.
Our role
Percorso Cittadino is not affiliated with the Italian public administration and does not issue official documents or certificates. Our guides provide general information and help you find the appropriate service. For an assessment of your own circumstances, contact the responsible authority or a qualified professional.
